About the DMC Team

Dallas Mercer Consulting (DMC) is a disability and safety management company, specializing in workplace injury, non-occupational leave management, occupational health & safety consulting and training, as well as industrial hygiene services.

DMC was founded in 2002, when founder Dallas Mercer recognized that most employers needed help to manage claim duration and escalating costs. Initially, services were limited to Disability Management, but were soon expanded to include Occupational Health and Safety services – a critical component of the Disability Management side of business – as well as Industrial Hygiene services.

Over 17 years later, we service more than 550 clients across Canada, all who are facing similar challenges. No matter the size of the company – from small, privately owned companies to large Crown Corporations – we have demonstrated a consistent ability to improve client outcomes through the provision of disability and safety services.
Due to this expansion across the country, our relevant experience in Occupational Health and Safety spans many jurisdictions, and includes a broad spectrum of safety and disability consulting services. Our personnel are carefully chosen to ensure they possess not only the required skill set, but also that they understand our philosophy and are able to adapt to each client’s needs.


At the start, we identify one consultant to be your main point of contact. Designating a single contact enables this person to become an intricate part of your internal team, gaining a familiarity and intimate knowledge of your organization that will enable them to assist you in the most effective manner possible.

Although you will have a primary contact, there will also be a team of experts with varying skill sets and experience working for your company. Utilizing a broad range of team members provides you with a variety of insights into challenging/complex problems in order to identify solutions. Our professionals are also encouraged to transfer knowledge and best practices between clients making for a unique team that is difficult to replicate in house.

Industrial Hygiene Team

We can identify, test, and resolve many workplace health concerns to make your space safer for everyone. Our team of Industrial Hygiene Technicians is led by our Industrial Hygienist, who is certified through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and the Canadian Registration Board of Industrial Hygiene. We are privileged to also have a Certified Radiation Safety Officer on staff to assist clients with radioactive materials or radiation devices on site.
