Rigging & Slinging

Rigging is the process of lifting and moving heavy loads with ropes, chains, and mechanical devices, while a sling is a loop of material that connects the load to the lifting device. Slings can be made of chain, wire, metal mesh, natural, and synthetic materials. DMC’s training program is intended to provide the knowledge necessary to reduce the risk of accidents, which result from the lack of knowledge and compliance with standard safe practices, policies and procedures when performing tasks that require rigging and slinging.
